Ericka Forsberg

Ericka Forsberg received her B. Mus. in Vocal Performance from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul and went on to receive her M.

Mus. in Vocal Performance at DePaul University in Chicago.   Ericka served as Adjunct Faculty of Vocal Studies at Waldorf University from 2018-2025 where she taught applied voice, Italian, German, Spanish, and French diction, as well as a course in vocal literature.   In addition to her time at Waldorf, she has taught piano and voice lessons to all ages in the Twin Cities, through her private home studio as well as through the Academy of Music at the University of Northwestern and as a voice faculty member at Crown College.

She also taught an Introduction to Music course as an online instructor for the University of Northwestern for ten years.   She specializes in teaching all styles of piano repertoire and teaches classical/operatic repertoire as well as musical theatre and pop to voice students. As a graduate student, Ericka performed with DePaul Opera Theatre where she played the title role in Bizet's Carmen, The Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas, and Idamante in Mozart's Idomeneo. Other roles have included Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, and L'ecureuil in L'enfant et les sortileges.

During her time in Minnesota, Ericka served as a cantor for Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Edina, performed with The Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company, the Rochester Aria Group, and with Minnesota Opera in their productions of La donna del lago, Lakme, and The Fortunes of King Croessus.   Most recently, she has appeared as a soloist with the Waldorf University Choir, Una Vocis, and the Austin Symphony Orchestra of Minnesota, under the direction of Dr. Emilie Bertram.
