Diane Miller

Diane Miller is a music professional with an exceptional connection to the Minnesota music ecosystem. She has more than 15 years of experience in many different facets of the industry, including live performer, recording artist, teacher, talent buyer, radio host/producer, DJ, and more. Diane earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Minnesota State University Moorhead, studying voice and guitar. She specializes in modern popular music, including rock, pop, folk, indie, Americana, and even hip-hop.

As a teacher, Diane focuses on harnessing the student’s specific musical interests and passions with a friendly and engaged approach. Diane’s career milestones include performing the National Anthem for both the Minnesota Twins and Lynx, backing punk icon Tommy Stinson at First Avenue and the Dakota, and substitute guitarist and backing vocalist for rock band Kiss The Tiger. She's opened for legendary artists as far reaching as Nelly, Joan Jett, and Soul Asylum. Diane is also a 2020-2021 McKnight Musician Fellow.

In addition to serving as a working musician, Diane is host/producer of The Local Show on Minnesota Public Radio’s The Current.
