Abs Trewin is a graduate of Luther College (B.A. in Music and Accounting) in Decorah, Iowa. Abs has previously studied voice with Dr. Andrew Whitfield, Dr. Beth Ray-Westlund, Dr. Nicholas Shaneyfelt, and Dr. Jennaya Robison.is currently on the rosters of the Summer Singers under the direction of Adam Reinwald in St. Paul, MN and the National Lutheran Choir under the direction of Jennaya Robison in Minneapolis, MN. Since 2022, Abs has frequently performed as a vocal soloist, violinist, chorister, bell-ringer, and guitarist at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. Abs has a diverse music background, with performance experience across genres and instruments. Abs is an accomplished operatic singer, receiving the David Greedy Memorial Scholarship in 2021, awarded by Luther College voice faculty to an outstanding singer in their junior year with career aspirations. During their time at Luther, Abs performed with several faculty and student-led ensembles. They performed with choirs, a capella groups, orchestras, musical theatre cabarets, praise bands, and operas. Additionally, Abs has sung and played guitar, violin, and piano in local pop and rock performances.
